Amber presented her Master’s Thesis research at the American Society of Microbiology Microbe meeting in Washington DC. Congrats Amber!

Ian was selected as a Delaware INBRE Summer Scholar (http://de-inbre.org/dissp-faq/). This program is funded by the NIH NIGMS to provide hands on research experiences for undergraduates. We’re excited to guide Ian on his first research experience! Welcome Ian!

David, an undergraduate researcher in the lab, has been selected as a University of Delaware Summer Scholar for Summer 2022. This is the second time David has been awarded a fellowship to conduct research over the summer. Congrats David!

Tania has joined the lab! She is a PhD candidate in Chemistry and Biochemistry. We look forward to having her do her thesis research on cytochrome c biogenesis!

Maya Collado and Donna Price recently joined our team as lab technicians and will be helping us with the important task of making media and reagents for all of our experiments. They are both freshman and we hope to have them as part of our lab for a long time!

Sue Carroll joined our lab in October 2021. She comes to us from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine with a background in Molecular Diagnostics and Veterinary Research. She will primarily be assisting with various research projects in our laboratory and will also help with lab management and organization.

David presented his Summer Scholars research at the West Virginia University Exploring Innovating in Appalachia: an Undergraduate Research Symposium on 8/11/21 and at the University of Delaware Undergraduate Research Symposium on 8/12/21. Congrats David! The lab celebrated the end of David’s summer fellowship with UDairy ice cream.
